Necessary documents for Schengen VISA application (short-term stay Visa)

A Schengen Visa is valid for the member states of the Schengen Agreement:

Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungry, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

Basic documents

  1. 1 visa application form (fully completed and signed);
  2. 1 recent color photo (size 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm);
  3. A valid passport and 1 photocopy (valid 3 months beyond the departure date from the Schengen area);
  4. Copies of your previous schengen visas
  5. Certificate of confirmed air tickets and a travel itinerary (original);
  6. A proof that the applicant has sufficient financial means to cover the cost of the proposed journey (ex. Certificate of bank balance) or an equivalent guarantee (original) (75 euros per entry and 40 euros per day by estimate)- Bank Balance Certificate;
  7. Certificate of Alien Registration (original) or Copy of Alien Registration Card (both sides);
  8. Hotel reservation (in your name only, reservation made in group by the Travel Agency is not accepted) (original);
  9. Certificate of travel medical insurance (original) (coverage of 30,000 euros/minimum and valid for all Schengen states)

If employed:

  1. Employment contract
  2. No-objection certificate from employer

If self-employed:

  1. A copy of your business license
  2. Company bank statement of the latest 6 months
  3. Income Tax Return (ITR)

If a student:

  1. Proof of enrollment

If you have someone inviting you from Portugal

  1. Term of Responsibility form

Portuguese Visa for Business Purposes:

  1. Invitation letter from the Portuguese company you will be visiting and their detailed address accompanied with the dates of your visit
  2. A certificate from your employer stating/allowing your business travel
  3. If there were previous trade relations between the two companies, proof of such events must be provided
  4. Business bank statement of the latest 6 months
  5. Memorandum and Article of Association in original certified copy (registered with joint stock companies) Trade License (first issued and present renewal), Proprietorship/Partnership documents
  6. Regarding the applicant’s expenses during stay in the Schengen zone, either the employer or the partner company must state coverage of expenses on the letter or invitation.

Portuguese Visa for conferences

  1. Conference Acceptance Letter from hosting organization
  2. School Certificate
  3. Letter from the school / professor in charge that guarantees the return of applicant to Republic of Korea and full responsibilities of the expenses during the stay

National VISA (Study/Residence/Sports)

  1. Visa Application Form / 비자신청서
  2. 1 photo / 사진 1매 
  3. Passport & a copy of passport / 여권 및 여권사본
  4. Invitation from Portuguese entity (school admission letter / Signed working contract/ Invitation from Portuguese Company) / 포르투갈 측에서 발행한 초청장 / 근로계약서 / 학교입학허가증
    * 축구유학일 경우, 포르투갈축구협회에서 발행한 구단등록증 필히 첨부
    * 가능할 경우, 한국영문재직증명서
  5. Criminal Records Check Reply / 영문범죄경력회보서
  6. Bank Balance Certificate / 영문은행잔고증명서 (1년 체류 기준 약 1000만원 이상 잔고증명)
  7. Overseas Medical Insurance (Death, sickness, medical, repatriation) – Minimum Coverage 30,000 euros                              / 해외여행자보험 – 사망, 상해, 질병, 특별비용 각각 30,000유로 이상 보장
  8. HIV & Hepatitis B test result (Medical Certificate) / 에이즈 & B형간염검사 영문결과지
  9. Flight Itinerary – 항공권예약증
  10. Hotel Reservation confirmation (for minimum 2~3 days upon arrival) – 숙소예약증(임시숙소가능)

For minors / 미성년자일경우

*부모님 유학동의서

-영문이나 포르투갈어로 아이 인적사항, 부모님 인적사항, 포르투갈 가디언 인적사항을 기입 후 부모님께서 아이의 유학에 동의한다는 내용 서술 후 서명 (서명은 서류제출 시 부모님 모두 대사관에서 직접 서명 또는 직접 못 오실 경우 서명공증 제출)

*포르투갈 현지 가디언 신분증 및 본인이 아이의 유학 중 가디언으로서 책임지다는 서술형 동의서 제출
